Thank you to Utilita for their generous donations to SSJ this winter. Our Christmas campaign used words from people affected by homelessness. They told us they felt sad, lonely, and hopeless, as well as cold. The donations from Utilita have put smiles on the faces of those who have little to look forward to at Christmas.

The jumpers and socks, in particular, were gratefully received and will be well used, keeping service users warm in what has become a bitterly cold January. We would like to say thank you to the staff members at Utilita for making this possible.”

Christmas 2020 – a Christmas like no other, but SCRATCH still managed to operate the annual Christmas Complete Project providing toys and gifts to children and young people who otherwise might not have received gifts to open on Christmas day.

One thing that didn’t change was the many voluntary hours given, albeit with less people at any one time than normal. We had some great teams involved, including several staff members from Utilita who helped to sort, package and deliver the gifts. We were able to provide a parcel of gifts to 2393 individuals from over 1350 families across Hampshire which wouldn’t have been possible without voluntary help. Thank you to everyone who was involved.”
